Loaves and Fishes is a non-profit emergency food program created in 1975
to meet grocery needs to people in crisis situations in Charlotte.
Loaves and Fishes sees its mission as providing a helping hand during an
acute crisis, not a hand-out which fosters dependency. Individual
donations represent a large source of food donations and funding.
The 2010 Food Drive will be at the Iowa gamewatch on November 20th.
We have an autographed football from Archie and from Coach Tressel as "incentive" for
donors. Here's how to win one of the balls:
1) The person who donates the most items* gets to choose which ball they'd like.
*any item less than 10 oz will count as half an item (ie, snack packs)
2) OR, a $1.00 ticket counts as one item. Since it's not easy to carry cases of food into Strike City. We will do the shopping for you! Click below to purchase tickets online.
3) All donors will receive a raffle ticket for their participation. One raffle ticket will
be drawn from all contributors for the remaining ball. If the raffle ticket drawn belongs
to winner # 1, another raffle ticket will be drawn.

November 7th 2009 - 7th Annual Loaves & Fishes Food Drive
Many thanks to all Charlotte Buckeyes who donated $600 towards the
purchase of food this year. The Executive Director at Loaves and Fishes
sends her thanks for continuing to provide basic nutritional food to people
in crisis in our community.
October 25, 2008 - 6th Annual Loaves & Fishes Food Drive
Maybe it was the new gamewatch location? We didn't give it our all this year,
however, Loaves and Fishes was most grateful for 274 pounds of food donated
this year.
November 3rd, 2007 - 5th Annual Loaves & Fishes Food Drive.
Many thanks to all Charlotte Buckeyes who donated 542 pounds of food
this year. The Executive Director at Loaves and Fishes sends her thanks

October 14th, 2006 - 4th Annual Loaves & Fishes Food Drive.
You blew our old record out of the water this year, with a whopping
768 pounds of food collected for our neighbors in crisis. GO BUCKS!
November 19, 2005 - 3rd Annual Loaves & Fishes Food Drive. Your
donation of 240 pounds of food will help serve clients during the upcoming
holiday season.
November 19, 2004 - 2nd Annual Loaves & Fishes Food Drive.
Thank you for your generous donation to Loaves & Fishes from your
Charlotte Buckeye's organization. A total of 233 pounds was collected
and this food will be distributed this week for our clients receiving
food for Thanksgiving.
November 13, 2003 - 1st Annual Loaves & Fishes Food Drive.
The Charlotte Buckeyes donated enough food for over 270 meals to fellow
Charlotteans in crisis! We plan to continue this drive every year, so stay tuned!
