Meet the Board Members

 

David Buck, President 

Dave and his wife, Suzanne, met and began dating in Bradley Hall in September, 1986 – their first week on campus at Ohio State.   Dave graduated in 1990 with a BS in Marketing and a BA in Economics.  He and Suzanne have lived in Charlotte for 23 years and have attended Charlotte Buckeye Club events since first moving to Charlotte.  Dave enjoys traveling with his family, sports (especially the Cleveland teams), their church, and all things Ohio State!    O-H!

 
 
Megan Adams, Vice President
Megan is originally from Bellbrook, Ohio and a 2011 graduate of Bowling Green State University.  After college, Megan moved to Chicago and started her career as a teacher, teaching every grade from preschool to third grade.  In early 2020 she relocated back to the Charlotte area as a second grade teacher.  She describes herself as having been "born and raised a Buckeye, bleeding Scarlet & Grey!" 
 
 
Gina Redding, Treasurer
Gina grew up in southeast Ohio, but having been in Charlotte over 20 years, she considers Charlotte home.  She found the Charlotte Buckeyes six years ago and has been the Game Day Caption at our BlackFinn location since 2021.  Gina graduated from Ohio University, completed post graduate work at THE Ohio State University, and coined the phrase, 'Bobcat by choice, Buckeye in my heart.'  Gina is very proud of her son son, Clay, who is a United States Marine.
 
 
Kelly Hartlage, Secretary and Scholarship Chairperson
Kelly grew up in Bellevue Ohio and  is a 1985 graduate of Ohio State with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. She has lived in Charlotte area since 1999 and is currently employed by General Motors. In addition to being a huge Buckeye fan, Kelly enjoys supporting the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. She enjoys scrapbooking and reading in her free time. Her husband, Jeff, owns NetMetrics, which is a local digital marketing self-owned business.    Kelly has two children; her son, Greg is a graduate of UNC-Charlotte and currently working in Sports Communications  and her daughter, Jill, is a graduate of CPCC and currently using her culinary skills as a Sous Chef at Bonterra Restaurant in Charlotte. 
 
 
Betsy Golik, Golf Committee Chairperson
Betsy and her late husband, Glen, are both Ohio State graduates. They lived in Cincinnati for many years, before moving to Charlotte in June of 2005. Betsy currently works part time at CPCC Central Campus, where she teaches reading and math to adults in the Foundational Learning program. Betsy has two children; her daughter, Lauren, is a graduate of Queens University of Charlotte and her son, David, is a graduate of NC State. 
 
 
Suzanne Buck, Special Events/Community Service Co-Chairpersons
Suzanne met Dave and began dating in September, 1986 – their first week at Ohio State.  Suzanne graduated in 1990 with a BS in Nursing and went on to earn her Masters in Nursing from Kent State.  She currently works for Novant Health.   They’ve been in Charlotte for 23 years and have attended Charlotte Buckeye Club events since moving to Charlotte.  Dave and Suzanne enjoy travel, sports (especially the Cleveland teams), their church, and all things Ohio State!   I-O!
 
 
Amy Twary, Social Media Chairperson

Amy graduated from Ohio State in 1987 with a B.S. degree and moved to Charlotte in 1991. She currently lives in Monroe and is a self-employed life and health insurance agent.  Amy loves to travel, enjoys photography, hiking, and the beach. Amy also supports several local animal rescue groups. She is passionate about all things Buckeye related and loves being able to share the Buckeye spirit in Charlotte with others on the social media platforms.

 
 
Game Day Captain: Protagonist Beer (LoSo) - Will Scott
Will and his wife, Katie have been married almost eleven years and have three kids.  He is a “born-and-raised” Buckeye, originally from Columbus where he lived most of his life before moving to the Charlotte area in 2017.  Will worked as a nurse at THE OSU Wexner Medical Center and also earned his Masters degree from Ohio State.  After eight years in the Air Force as a flight nurse doing aeromedical evacuation, he is currently a Nurse Practitioner in the Charlotte area.  Will has said he looks forward to meeting all of you fellow alum and Buckeye fans and spending game days together.
 
 
Game Day Captain: BlackFinn Ballantyne - Gina Redding
In addition to being the Club Treasurer, Gina has also been GameDay Captain at BlackFinn since 2017 where she loves to cheer on the Buckeyes with the Best Damn Fans in Charlotte!  Her love of the Buckeyes came during her first game in the Shoe at the age of 13 where she watched the Buckeyes beat Illinois.   Her most memorable game was in 2019 against Wisconsin - she went to the game with her 75-year old Dad and son Clay who is now in the United States Marine Corps.  Gina is the international treasury manager for Enpro Industries, and enjoys attending sporting events, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends.

Most recent Student Representative - Carter Buck
Carter just graduated with a Finance major and Business Analytics minor from The Ohio State University. While on campus, he was President of Phi Chi Theta Professional Business Fraternity.  He was also a member of the 25th Honors Cohort, the Fisher College of Business flagship academic program.  In his free time, Carter enjoys Cleveland sports, fishing, golfing, and weight lifting. Carter has accepted a position and will begin his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant on their financial transformation team.
